Polycarbonate (Lexan)

Characteristics

Polycarbonate, or Lexan, has a very high molecular weight that provides incredible impact resistance. Although it resembles acrylic, its properties are quite different.

Similar to acrylic, polycarbonate is easily transformable: it can be glued, bent, and assembled. It stands out for its high impact and fire resistance. However, despite its good reaction to climate variations and moisture, it degrades quickly when exposed to UV rays.
